The Investment Scoring System has been applied to over 1000 businesses over the course of his investing career. While no business has ever achieved a perfect score, the tool has been used to take much of the emotional bias out of the Private Business Investment process.
The criteria for assessing the businesses for Investment include many factors, including: earnings consistency; management strength; capital intensity and efficiency; existence and application of policies, procedures and processes, customer concentration; supplier reliance; business model; composition of recurring revenue; stability and longevity; working capital intensity and cylces; competitive advantages and growth opportunities.
